Yell Adworks

Our History

Yell Adworks was previously known as Pindar Set which was established in 1979, in response to Yell's requirement for typesetting and pre-press services for Yellow Pages directories in the UK.

As Yell has grown and developed over the years, so has our relationship with them and in 2008 the business, now known as Yell Adworks transferred to Yell.

In the UK, we're still responsible for the design and creation of ads and pages for Yellow Pages, but we also support Yell in the delivery of customer operations processing fulfilment, the design and creation of multi media products for Yell.com web and mobile products. The fulfilment of these services is also supported by our operations in India.

In the US, we are responsible for the design and creation of ads and pages for Yellowbook as well as internet-based products published on Yellowbook.com. The fulfilment of these services is also supported by our operations in India and the Philippines.

In Spain, we are responsible for the design and creation of ads and pages for Páginas Amarillas and Páginas Blancas and other directory products for Yell Publicidad, as well as internet-based products published on PáginasAmarillas.es. The fulfilment of these services is also supported by our operations partner in Peru and Colombia. Our Latin America operations also produce print ads for Páginas Amarillas in Peru, Chile and Argentina.

Here are some of the most important milestones in our history:

1981
The first UK directory, for Shrewsbury, is produced.
1990s
Advert production for Yell is undertaken, merging three studios into a combined pre-press operation. We develop colour advertising and develop innovative technology to deliver automated production solutions.
1999
Yell acquire Yellowbook in the US.
2000
US division opens in order to service the then 536 directories published by Yellowbook. Our first US studio opens, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
2001
A new Customer Service team and Central Fulfilment department is established in Scarborough, UK, to help Yell care for and communicate with their UK customers.
2004
Another new site opens in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in the US.
2006
Another new site is established in Hyderabad, India.
2007
In May 2007 our two Bangalore studios are consolidated into the brand new Magnum building.
In December 2007 our business is established in Madrid, Spain to support Yell Publicidad.
2008
New offices open in Manila, to support operations for Yellowbook in the US New offices open in Lima, Peru to support operations for Yell Publicidad in Spain.
In August 2008 the global business transfers to Yell, and is renamed Yell Adworks.
2010
In April 2010 Yell UK Customer Operations Processing transfers to Yell Adworks.
In April 2010, Yell Adworks España is awarded contract for directory production in Argentina, Peru & Chile. Operations are expanded with new facilities opening in Pereira, Colombia.
