PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the ongoing growth of our New Media product fulfilment
teams, we are looking to appoint a Creative Lead to support our new
media teams. This role will report to the New Media
Development Manager, and will support all new media products, with
an initial focus on supporting the continued development of the
Yellsites product.
With exceptional design skills, this individual will be able to
creatively develop their own ideas and concepts and also deliver
very high quality designs to briefs supplied by Yell's marketing
teams. In addition to the development of concepts and
designs, the Creative Lead will also be able to articulate clearly
a creative direction for designers working within Adworks,
providing guidance on best practice new media design. You
will also work closely with our production teams, developing
products and designs which can be fulfilled in a high volume
environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Creative design of new website concepts and
templates
• Creative design of other new media products eg
Flash banners, Videos etc
• Supporting and influencing new media product
and marketing managers
• Support high value customer work, delivering
"one-offs" and "specials"
• Liaison and support for the new media
production teams, developing templates and prototypes which can be
utilised in production
• Clearly articulate ideas for effectively
delivering new media products
• Lead pilots, trials and other creative
projects within the new media development team
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Proven track record in creative design, with
strong portfolio of new media design work including website
design
• Ability to work to a brief and also generate
new ideas and concepts
• Excellent communication skills; able to
inspire and influence all new media stakeholders
• Strong presentation skills with ability to
articulate verbally, visually and in writing
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products
required (Photoshop and Illustrator required, Flash highly
desirable)
ADDITIONAL KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Good knowledge of current HTML, CSS and
Javascript (eg JQuery) - high standards desirable - training in
this area may be available
• Knowledge of User Experience Design highly
desirable
• Photography and Video production experience
also desirable
• Knowledge of SEO best practices desirable
