Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Head of Processing Operations the role holder
will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of
production control mechanisms and metrics, including
resource/capacity planning and reporting.
The role will require close collaboration with members of the
Operations management team as well as other key stakeholders in
Yell and Yell Adworks to provide key information needed to
highlight trends and to identify, drive and monitor operational
improvements.
The scope of the role will cover all Yell Adworks fulfillment
operations both On & Off shore and the full portfolio of
products supported by Yell Adworks.
The role will include line management responsibilities for a small
team consisting of individuals working in Production Control and
Operational Analysts.
Key Accountabilities:
• To develop and own the production control and
resource planning mechanisms and metrics to enable the effective
management of Yell Adworks work volumes. This will include the full
portfolio of products supported by Yell Adworks' on & off shore
operations and all stages of fulfillment/production
• To ensure internal (Yell Adworks - both off
& on shore) and external audiences (e.g.
Sales/Marketing/Finance) have access to Key information around
input volumes, exception volumes and Performance information to
enable Operational Management to make effective decisions around
resource levels. To develop appropriate reports/outputs which meet
users requirements
• To identify and appropriately respond to
issues highlighted through the production control
mechanisms/metrics. This will range from initiating tactical
actions with relevant operational management to instigating longer
term strategic process changes/reviews to drive efficiencies and
further reduce operational costs/fulfilment time.
• Working with colleagues in the senior
operations team and Yell/Yell Adworks I.S. to ensure appropriate
technology is being used to support the Production Control function
and ensure reporting outputs are produced efficiently, accurately
and to time deadlines.
• To support the Head of Processing Operations
in the identification of barriers to efficiency in end to end
fulfillment processes through the provision/interpretation of key
metrics. To work with stakeholders to develop detailed action plans
to address these

• Experience of managing change
• Ability to support the development and
implementation of department plans & targets
• Analytical Ability - comfortable in dealing
with large volumes of data, producing and interpreting reports and
statistics
• Knowledge of Data Management, Databases and
Reporting Tools e.g. BW, Qlikview, MS Access etc
• Knowledge/Experience of Web based reporting
would be helpful
